Milton Keynes

Whether you fancy shopping in Centre:MK, a trip to the theatre district (you'll even find adventure golf here), or want to take a pick out of the variety of restaurants that The Hub has to offer - MK is the one.

From Northampton you can get a direct train to Milton Keynes Central which takes just 16 minutes!

All attractions mentioned above are within less than 30 minutes walking distance from the station, or you could even hire a bike and incorporate a ride around Campbell Park on your outing too.

Leicester

Only a 23 minute train journey from Kettering, planning a day out in Leicester is easy. Highcross Shopping Centre is only a 15 minute walk from the train station or you could even choose to get a bus directly to the city centre.

Not a shopping fan? Don't worry, there's still plenty to do! For an experience that is out of this world (quite literally) you have to visit the National Space Centre. Home to the UK's largest planetarium, a rocket tower and SIX  interactive galleries, this is the perfect place to visit for something a little different.

If you're a bit of a football fan then the King Power Stadium is definitely worth a visit. Home to the premier league team, Leicester City, the King Power Stadium is one of the largest football stadiums in the UK.

Another one for those active fans out there... Social Climbing! Climbing 700sq of climbing space sounds like quite the adventure. With children's parties as an option, workout areas on the premises and shower facilities provided, this centre certainly lives up to its 5* rating on Trip Advisor
